Jake Williams is one of the characters in Just Add Magic.
Appearance[]
Jake has dark brown hair and dark skin. He has round chestnut eyes, and he is of average height. Usually, Jake is seen wearing button-up shirts and jeans. When he works at Mama P's he wears his Mama P's apron with his name on it.
Personality[]
Jake is very kind and helpful. He was willing to help out Kelly and the girls, even though it meant he had to go behind Mama P's back. Jake is nice to almost everyone and is a very trustworthy person. He loves to see his friends happy, and he always goes to them if he needs help. He is very punctual and friendly too. But sometimes he is also shown as being moody. Jake can also want to seek retribution on behalf of his friends, immediately taking the "A Taste of Your Own Mochi" recipe and giving it to Leah after learning she bullied Hannah despite saying he did not want any part of spelling her.
History[]
When Jake was around 14, he started working at Mama P's. He would help wait the tables and take orders, as well as go in the kitchen and prepare meals. Soon, he started promoting his new food bike business at Mama P's and starting selling his food all around the town and at his school.
His food bike is known as Jake's deluxe food bike.The girls first told Jake about magic, he didn't believe them, and it took a few tries to finally prove the girls right. After he found out about the magic, he was more than willing to help out the girls at any cost, whether the needs were magical or not.
Chuck tricks him in Season 2 and ends up taking over his body for several days. Jake doesn't remember any of it, even a lunch at the restaurant he had always wanted to go to, Le Grande Falls. In season 3, he started working at spring town coffee, when Mama P leaves Saffron Falls for a vacation. At one point, Jake forgot magic due to being spelled by a former protector named Caroline Palmer who wanted to destroy magic.
In Season 3, Mama P sells the place to Springtown Coffee and Jake is unhappy there. He even goes as far as complaining to Terri Quinn. At one point, the protectors wake Jake and restore his memories about magic.
Relationships[]
Kelly Quinn[]
Jake and Kelly are great friends. They are both interested in cooking and have very similar personalities. Kelly and Jake always help each other out whenever needed. For example, when Jake wiped out on his bike and lost his condiments, Kelly was more than happy to offer whatever she had in her fridge (even if she only has yellow mustard).
Mama P []
Mama P and Jake have a love-hate relationship. Mama P was willing to let Jake work at her cafe. However, when Jake learned that Mama P was deceiving the girls, he no longer wanted to work for her, and he glared at her whenever he saw her. When Mama P said she was going to help the girls, Jake was a bit reluctant at first, but he learned to accept Mama P once again. When Mama P returned from Paris, Jake helped Mama P bring her business back up, without the use of magic. Jake found out that Mama P wanted to spell previous mayor Davies to get a sponsorship for Adam Lever. Jake and Mama P became friends again when Jake was cursed by Caroline/Jill to forget magic so he forgot all about Mama P's bad deeds. But as soon as Mama P was caught spying on Terri Quinn, when she was running for mayor, Jake quit his job. It remained so until Mama P repented again and helped expose Lever, who then dropped out of the race. Jake then became friends again with Mama P and they continue to be good buddies today, but Jake is still wary of Mama P's actions.
Hannah Parker-Kent[]
Hannah and Jake are really good friends and care about each other deeply. Jake always stands up for Hannah especially when Hannah was being bullied by a girl named Leah at her new school. He always gives her kind advice whenever she's upset like how he gave her advice about her new school. Hannah always tries to protect Jake from magic like when he is under a curse, So overall they both have a really close friendly bond and remain as best friends.
