Synopsis[]
In order to convince Jake that magic is real, the Girls cook three mystery spells for him to try. Unfortunately, Jake isn't easily convinced, and the unexpected downsides jeopardize Hannah's chances of winning a school-wide fundraising contest.
Plot[]
Mama P tries to look through the cookbook, but the recipes disappear. Kelly realizes that the cookbook is missing and tries to find it in her house. At school, Hannah is chosen to participate in a fundraising competition. The girls ask Jake if he took the cookbook, but he gets mad at them. The Kelly, Hannah, and Darbie realize Mama P must have taken the cookbook. They remember the pages that came back with the lost and fondue spell, and decide to cook them to convince Jake that they are magical so he will help them get the cookbook back. The girls cook some cheddar biscuits and Kelly and Jake both eat one. It turns out to be an anger spell, but they manage to break it. Jake is still skeptical, so Kelly and Darbie make some magical horchata, but Hannah accidentally drinks it. She starts getting tensed. The next day, it's time for her to give a speech. Her opponent Seth gives a speech about robots and Steve Jobs. Hannah then starts her speech saying that Steve loved music and he believed "thaaaat", she sings. She starts sing-talking. She immediately understands that this is because of the magical horchata that she drank the night before. Even Kelly and Darbie understand this and wish Jake would be here so that this would convince him that magic is real. After her speech, she starts worrying and sings for everything. People stare at her funny when she is singing. Then Kelly remembers that the rest of the horchata also must be drunken for the spell to break. She tells this to Hannah and Hannah does what Kelly says. The spell breaks but Hannah gets mad on Kelly and Darbie and leaves. The next day, Kelly makes magic fruit bars so that Jake gets convinced at least now. She decorates Hannah's voting booth. The fruit bars were actually an attraction and repulsion spell. So now people get attracted to Jake and start buying his food. Even Edna, the school's chef who doesn't allow Jake to sell his food, buys Jake's food now. Meanwhile, people including Hannah and Darbie, get repelled with Kelly and avoid her. Then Kelly apologizes to Hannah and the spell instantly breaks. This convinces Jake and he offers to look for the cookbook. During his shift at Mama P's, he says that the sugar is all out and he goes to the back for more sugar but he actually goes to look for the cookbook. He finds it and keeps it in his bag. Mama P gets suspicious and sees that the cookbook is in Jake's bag. Since she has no access to the recipes she says nothing and goes to Jake. She asks him whether he saw her book. Then Jake gets frightened that Mama P must be asking about the cookbook. To his luck she asked Jake about her address book and he says no. What Jake doesn't know is that Mama P knows that Jake took the Cookbook
